It was my first time seeing the revival of David McVicar’s production – I arrived at Covent Garden a little bit early for the 7.30pm start and wandered into this lovely lady busking Bizet.

Thanks to my lovely friend’s complementary tickets, Mr Smarty-Pants and I didn’t have to queue to get in. More queuing, however, was in order just to have a close look at the paintings – mind you, they even sell the Rough Guide to Yorkshire in the gift shop…
